Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the backbone of Family Promise Delco - Interfaith Hospitality Network organization.

ACTS OF COMPASSION HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE THE LIVES OF FAMILIES

Due to Coronavirus restrictions, our families are currently sheltered at our Day Center fulltime.  Volunteers are needed to prepare meals.  Signup HERE

Board Members are in charge of the administrative end -  writing grants, planning fundraisers, developing partnerships with both the faith community and community at large as well as overseeing the Director.

Committee Members are involved in a specific committee chaired by a board member i.e. fundraising, finance, development etc.

Congregational Volunteers interact directly with the families.  They make dinner, serve as overnight hosts, play with the children and chat with families while they are at the IHN Shelter. Congregation volunteers do not have to be a part of the congregation they serve.

Interns whose major of study is in the Human Service field are always welcome.  Family Promise of Delco can provide students with hands on experience.

"As a volunteer, I find it especially meaningful to see families that are struggling and then watch them get situated and into a better place in their lives.”
