Who We Are
Hope today. Help tomorrow. End homelessness!
Our mission is to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence.
Family Promise of Delaware County, PA aims to end family homelessness. We are an interfaith organization that partners with and mobilizes volunteers from our faith-based communities to end homelessness for Delco families and their children. Together, we have seen success that lasts. Families in our program receive resources, support and training as they work towards their own stability and self-reliance.

Family Promise of Delco PA started out in 2007 as the Interfaith Hospitality Network with 12 local religious congregations to tackle family homelessness. Our mission is to help families who are experiencing homelessness achieve housing stability by first supplying 24 hour, 7 days a week, 365 days per year emergency housing. With individual case management along with our area social service agencies, we work with families to resolve their homelessness by achieving a stable income and childcare. Family Promise is a proven path to help families find home.
With the help of our many volunteers, FPDelco serves as an alternative to a shelter system that often has families living apart. We offer a safe home-like environment which keeps families together providing private bedrooms in a group home living space. FPDelco services only families with children without regard to race, religion, or age. Families may stay in the program up to 90 days providing they are adhering to guest guidelines and making progress in their efforts towards self-sufficiency.
